Richard Overton turns 109
The nation's oldest living WWII veteran turned 109 Monday.
The governor honored Richard Overton with a birthday cake and a song at the Governor's mansion.
Governor Abbott and the First Lady sang happy birthday to Overton Monday afternoon. Overton was born in Bastrop County on May 11th in 1906.
He served in the Army.
He's lived in Austin ever since coming home from the war.
