Several pounds of cocaine, crystal meth found after Fayette County traffic stop

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says about 2.4 pounds of cocaine and approximately 28 pounds of crystal meth were found after a traffic stop on I-10 at the 658 MM Eastbound. It happened just before 10 a.m. on May 8.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek says that while talking to two individuals during the stop, criminal indicators were observed by an officer and his K9, Lobos. Consent to search was obtained and the cocaine was found in the rear passenger seat. The crystal meth was loaded in five torque converters in the trunk of the vehicle. The crystal meth has as an approximate street value of about $1.3 million.

24-year-old Justin Tyler Price and 39-year-old Fidencio Fernandez, both of Del Rio, were arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance over 400 grams.

Bond has been set at $200,000 for both.
