Severe weather hits Central Texas

Several school districts have canceled class due to severe weather. Giddings, Del Valle, Lockhart and Smithville ISDs have closed today.

There have also been several water rescues and alerts and warnings have been issued.

Remember the saying: Turn Around, Don't Drown! If there's water over the road, go back and find another route. It is illegal to drive around barricades at a flooded low water crossing.
