The FBI and Beaumont police are asking the public for help identifying a "Red-Bearded" bank bandit who threatened tellers and robbed a Beaumont area bank on August 8.

Officials say the robbery happened at about 11:55 a.m. at the Community Bank located at 7410 Texas 105 in Beaumonth. The robber threatened tellers with a bank robbery demand note. No weapon was seen by tellers and no one was physically hurt.

The robber fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash to a vehicle parked in the Ritter Lumber parking lot.

The vehicle was captured by surveillance cameras and is described as a 2012-2013 Cadillac CTS, 4-door sedan with tinted windows.

The "Red-Bearded" bank bandit was described as a white male, approximately 5'5" - 5'8" tall with a red beard. He wore a long sleeved button down shirt, dark pants, a grey baseball cap, black rimmed glasses and a white and plaid scarf around his neck. He entered the bank carrying what witnesses described as a large, red women's style handbag.

Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers is offering up $1,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of this bank robber. If you have any information you're asked to call the Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers tip line at 409-833-TIPS (8477) or the FBI Houston Field Office at (713) 693-5000.

FBI agents in Beaumont and Houston are working with Beaumont police in the investigation and are trying to determine if the suspect is responsible for any additional bank robberies.
