Houston SPCA rescues malnourished minature horses

The Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals rescued 40 miniature horses from a property in Baytown on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017.

BAYTOWN, Texas (FOX 26) - The Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has rescued 40 miniature horses from a property in Baytown on Wednesday morning.

The horses are suffering from a variety of medical conditions including malnutrition, breathing issues and hoof problems. A team of 18 Houston SPCA cruelty investigators and equine specialists arrived to the property and are taking the horses back to its facility in west Houston.
