Kidnapped 13-year-old Lancaster girl found dead in Oak Cliff home

- A teenager who was the subject of an Amber Alert was found dead in after being reportedly kidnapped over stolen drugs.

The FBI raided a home in East Oak Cliff Sunday morning and found two bodies inside. One was identified as 13-year-old Shavon Randle and the other was Michael Titus, a person of interest in the case.

An Amber Alert was issued for Randle on Wednesday. Family members said she was in Lancaster caring for a disabled cousin when she disappeared. Then a relative got a call from an unknown man who said he had her and threatened to harm her.

According to court documents, Kendall Perkins, the teen's cousin's boyfriend, allegedly stole a large amount of marijuana from Darius Fields and Devonte Owens two days before her disappearance.

Owens reportedly told a woman he planned to abduct a child as a way to recover the stolen drugs, his arrest warrant affidavit states.

On Saturday police made several arrests. Owens was arrested for aggravated kidnapping. Laquon Wilkerson is being held on a $1 million bond for aggravated kidnapping for ransom or reward. An affidavit describes Wilkerson as an associate of Owens and a body guard.

Fields and LaPorshya Polley were also arrested for drug possession and other charges. Perkins is facing charges for aggravated robbery.

Late Saturday night police were lead to an abandoned East Oak Cliff home where the bodies of Randle and Titus were found.

An arrest affidavit says Desmond Jones led police to the home. As they approached, "Jones began to shake and became visible upset." Jones is charged with failure to report a felony.

Police have yet to charge anyone for Randle or Titus' deaths. The medical examiner will perform autopsies to determine exactly how they died.

An assistant principal at Kennedy Curry Middle School described Randle as a sweet girl.

“She was just a delight to be around. And she was a baby and she didn’t deserve this at all. And I don’t know, but we have to continue to support our communities, to support the family and continue to support our kids,” said Irvin Jacobs.

Randle will be remembered Monday night in the East Oak Cliff neighborhood where her body was found. People will gather near Kiest Boulevard and Sunnyvale Street at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
