Texas A&M president meets with Dallas teens who heard racial slurs on campus

- The Texas A&M University president was in Dallas Tuesday morning. He spoke with students at Uplift Hampton Preparatory Academy and addressed their concerns about racism on the A&M campus.

Earlier this month a group of the charter school students toured the campus in College Station. Two of them say during their visit they were taunted.

University officials are now trying to determine which Aggie students may have shouted racial slurs and references to the Confederate flag at the high schoolers. Some of the students involved have been ID'd, but there's no word on how they would be punished.

Part of the visit to Dallas also involved delivering thousands of written letters from A&M students to the students at Uplift apologizing for what happened.

The study body president called it a way to show them A&M stands up for “what’s right.”
