Recalled strollers can become a fall hazard for infants

A recall has been issued for 28,000 units of “J is for Jeep” brand strollers.

The company, Delta Enterprise Corporation, said the stroller’s leg bracket can break and pose a fall hazard to infants in the stroller. There have been four reports of the leg bracket breaking, including one of a child falling from a strollers and receiving cuts and bruises.

The strollers were advertised as an all-terrain jogging strollers and were stolen at Target, Walmart and other stores nationwide, as well as Shopko stores in Wisconsin from August 2015 to August 2016. The cost ranged from $130 to $160. They have two wheels in the back and one smaller wheel in the front, with “J is for Jeep” printed on the side of the stroller sun canopy.

You can confirm whether the model number on your stroller coincides with the recall list on the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and check the Delta label in the left bottom frame support bars.

Delta said if you purchased an affected stroller, you should stop using it immediately and call for a free repair. The company can be reached at 800-377-3777 from Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
