Rising cellist plays a tribute on social media to express his grief in Dallas

- Cremaine Booker is a rising cellist who hails from Dallas, Texas. The 26-year-old has performed extensively in the southeast region in addition to being a studio cellist.

“With all the recent stuff that has happened in society, it has really taken a toll on me mentally and emotionally,” said Booker. “My heart is hurting and there's nothing I can really say. So since music is the thing I know best,  I figured I'd just play.”

Booker took to Facebook to share his grief by playing Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber.

“My heart is hurting for everyone who has been affected. I have been trying to find ways to process things myself, but the only way I know how is to play my cello. I wish that we could one day come together instead of tearing each other apart, but until then, I'll just keep playing.”

The post has been viewed over 420,000 times.

Booker now resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
