Deputy, lost child bond at Strawberry Festival

A little boy made a new friend after being separated from his family at the Strawberry Festival Friday.

The little guy was brought to a command post at the festival to wait for his family by Hillsborough County sheriff's deputy Matt Bonin.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office posted a photo of the two on its Facebook page Tuesday. The post said the child didn't want Bonin to leave him at the post, so they waited for the family together.

While they waited, Deputy Bonin noticed the child staring at his badge. He took the badge off and let the little guy hold it, which is the moment an adorable photo of the two was captured.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said many children were unfortunately separated from their adult supervisors at the fair Friday, but this little guy was reunited soon with his parents.
