Special needs students named homecoming king and queen in Souderton

- It was a night to remember for two local high school students with special needs after they were crowned homecoming king and queen.

Kevin Lezynski and Karly Ditlow were named king and queen during the homecoming football game between Souderton Area High School and William Tennent High School on Friday.

Teacher and coach Bryan Fagan tells FOX 29  a grassroots effort by the junior and senior class helped to propel Kevin and Karly’s nomination onto the homecoming court and eventually to being named king and queen, according to teacher

Both Kevin and Karly are active members of the Unified Bocce team, Unified Track and Field team as well as with the annual spring musical.

Students at the game erupted in cheers when the two were crowned. Watch the big moment in the video above.
