WATCH: Stone Mountain senior asks special needs student to prom

- A Stone Mountain senior went all out when she decided to ask her fellow classmate with special needs to prom.

"I wanted to do something special before I graduate and I wanted to make his year too," said Kyann Perry.

Thursday, FOX 5 was there as she surprised her friend Isaiah with a "promposal."

Isaiah, who has autism, was all smiles as Kyann walked into his classroom with a large sign that read "Will you go to prom with me?" It also had the hashtag #AintNothingButAPromThingBaby

Isaiah said yes and everyone in the room started cheering.

"Our bond is so crazy, so I know I just made his day and I'll make his day at prom too," Kyann told FOX 5 News. “I just feel good that I did something special for someone who means a lot to me."

The varsity basketball player, who recently received an award for her 1,000 point career in two years, said she wants Isaiah to be able to feel like he's just a regular student and to no feel different from anyone else.

Kyann and Isaiah met through the Hope Club program at Stone Mountain High School. The two seniors will head to prom on Saturday, April 30, at the W Hotel in Midtown.
