Rover.com has released its fourth annual report on the nation's most popular dog names for 2016 and human and food inspired names top the list. In Austin, our love for our city is reflected in our choices for the names of our pets.

Other findings about Austin pets. Food names like Brisket, Pickle and Taco are up 13%. Tech names like Mac, Pixel and Tesla were up 3%.

Keeping things weird like we do, apparently names like Bowtie, Brewery and Sushi are also gaining in popularity.

Another popular theme are names inspired by pop culture like Eleven and Barb ("Stranger Things"), Hamilton, Arya and Khaleesi ("Games of Thrones"), Coco Chanel, Beyonce and Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
