Cam Newton has 'no apologies' for actions after Super Bowl

- Cam Newton said he has no apologies for his post game actions after the Super Bowl at the end of season news conference Tuesday.

Cam said he felt like his leg was in a bad position and might have gotten rolled in when asked about the fumble he didn't dive for.

He said plenty of quarterback's throw picks and don't try to make the tackle and don't get ripped for it.

Cam said as long as his teammates and coaches are satisfied with his effort that's all that matters.

After Cam made that statement a chorus of, "We love you Cam, tell em!" could be heard in the locker room.

Coach Rivera supports Cam's post game actions. Rivera said there's a lot of guys who have reacted the same way in post game losses.

"This is a very special group of young men that came together and I hope that we can carry that forward into the 2016 season and everybody remain focused on what the task is," Coach Rivera said. "We know who Cam is, we understand who the young man is and who he wants to be for us."

Carolina Panthers GM Dave Gettleman came to Cam's defense as well.

"I want players that hate to lose, plain and simple," Gettleman said. "We all handle defeat differently and it's hard, so understand that everybody reacts differently. "At the end of the day, unfortunately we didn't get it done."
