A hit-by-pitch and a walk plus a wild pitch blossom into two runs after a two-out knock by Rafael Devers to give the Red Sox a 2-0 lead in the 1st inning.

A Jose Altuve drive to the wall in right field was ruled fan interference by the umpiring crew instead of a two-run homer or runners at second and third and one out.

After Josh Reddick hit a double to start the bottom of the second inning, Carlos Correa drove him in to narrow the Red Sox lead to 2-1.

Xander Bogaerts hit a double off Morton to drive in Andrew Benintendi, extending the Red Sox lead to 3-1 in the third inning.

A George Springer solo home run started the bottom of the third inning to bring the Astros closer to the Red Sox who maintained a 3-2 lead. A Josh Reddick two-out hit drove in Jose Altuve to tie the game at 3-3.

Tony Kemp hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 4th inning to give the Astros a 4-3 lead.

A Carlos Correa single brought home Yuli Gurriel to give the Astros a 5-4 lead over the Red Sox in the fifth inning.

Jackie Bradley Jr. hit a home run that also scored Christian Vazquez to give the Red Sox a 6-5 lead over the Astros in the sixth inning.

With a J.D. Martinez single in the eighth inning that scored Mookie Betts, the Red Sox extended the lead to 8-5.

An Altuve RBI groundout scored Alex Bregman in the 8th inning, cutting the Red Sox lead to 8-6 over the Astros.

Despite some last-inning heroics, The Red Sox held onto the lead to take a 3-1 ALCS lead with Game Five at Minute Maid Park on Thursday.
