Perrin: Strong's body of work to be evaluated after regular season

As multiple media organizations report that Charlie Strong has been fired as head football, University of Texas Men's Athletics Director Mike Perrin has released a statement disputing those reports.

Perrin released a statement saying:

There are a number of rumors out there about the status of Coach Strong. I've said it all along, we will evaluate the body of work after the regular season. We have a game to get ready for against TCU on Friday, and I hope our fans will come out and support our team. We'll discuss where things stand after that.

The future of Strong at Texas had been in doubt after the Longhorns lost to Kansas. Texas is now 5-6 and will need to beat TCU in order to become bowl eligible.
