Highly touted Westlake basketball player chooses UT

Highly touted Westlake High School 7' center Will Baker has committed to the University of Texas basketball program and head coach Shaka Smart.

The decision Baker says was made with a bit of advice from former Longhorn Mo Bamba.

"I'm good friends with Mo. He said he wanted me to go there, but he told me, "look it's your decision, I'm not going to try to convince you, but I think it would be a good fit." Baker says.

Baker says he also likes a future with UT's pass first point guard Matt Coleman and UT's film school was a factor too.

Baker chose Texas over UCLA and becomes the third member of UT's strong class of 2019. He also becomes the third five star recruit to suit up for Coach Smart.
