Mexican League soccer at Dell Diamond

It was quite the soccer scene in Round Rock. Over 11,000 were on hand to watch a friendly between Mexican Liga MX powers Chivas and Pachuca.

Round Rock Express ownership says it had success with Major League Soccer's Houston Dynamo in Corpus Christi so it decided to branch out a bit during the All-Star break.

It was a real treat for Mexican soccer fans north of the border.

"Chivas has never been in Austin so it's as you can see the fans are over excited about being here. It's really cool for the team to have all this crowd shouting and making them feel like if they were playing in Mexico. that's what Texas brings to Chivas whenever we play here," says Fernando Giaccardi with Chivas Media Relations.

Chivas is keeping busy in the States. The team is headed to Houston for its fourth stop in the U.S. this summer.
