Alligator wrangled from front seat of SUV

- A seven foot alligator had to be wrangled from a most unusual place: the front seat of an SUV in a driveway in Texas.

"Buster" the alligator had been trapped Sunday by Christy Kroboth, who is a state licensed alligator trapper in Texas. Kroboth said she was called out to trap the gator that was in the middle of a road and had been shot by a BB gun and blinded in his right eye.

Kroboth said she had trapped the male gator, put him in the back of the SUV and run into her house, and when she returned, the gator had climbed all the way from the back to the front and had wedged itself up in the front seat between the steering wheel and the windshield. "I had to carefully ease him out, talking him through the whole process so that he wouldn't stress and hurt himself, myself, or the car anymore," Kroboth said.

"Buster" was removed from the car and transported in another vehicle to a gator farm in El Campo where he will live out the rest of his days, Kroboth said.

Besides the BB gun injuries Kroboth noticed, the gator was not injured, though the windshield had a crack in it.

Kroboth posted the video of the capture to the Gator Squad Facebook page, along with video of the gator's release. "I am so blessed that I get to work with them, help them out, and educate the public on them," she said.
