Naked stranger found in family's shower

- A Hernando County man is facing a trespassing charge after a deputy found him naked in someone else's home.

He was found around 3:40 a.m. Sunday at a home on Airmont Drive in Spring Hill, according to the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.

A 13-year-old girl woke up to the sound of someone in her bathroom taking a shower. She knew her siblings were asleep. Afraid to walk past the bathroom door to get to her mother's room, the teen jumped out of her bedroom window and ran to a neighbor's home to call for help.

Once a deputy arrived, the teen's mother opened the door. She said all of her children were in bed. Together, the mother and deputy unlocked the bathroom door.

They found 35-year-old Joshua Lee Noble, of Spring Hill, naked in the bathtub with the shower running. He was yelling for his "babe," according to the Sheriff's Office.

"The mother took a look at him and said, I have no idea who that is, and I didn't give him permission to be in here," said Denise Moloney, spokesperson for the Hernando County Sheriff's Office.

The deputy noted that Noble had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. He told the deputy his last memory was leaving a local bar with his wife.

"Upon talking to him, he told the deputies that he had been at some type of a drinking establishment with his wife, they were walking home, and they became involved in an argument and got separated. He said he thought he was in his own home," said Moloney.

The homeowner told the deputy she left the garage door and backdoor of the home unlocked, which is likely how Noble got inside. It's a practice authorities warn against.

"We should always keep the doors locked…always. Even if you're inside the house, if you leave, lock all the doors and windows. It's never a bad thing to have the doors locked," said Moloney.

Noble was arrested and charged with one count of Trespass to an Occupied Structure.
