Sisters deliver babies minutes apart, ahead of due dates

The bond between sisters in undeniable, but a pair of Bay Area women - and now their newborn baby boys - share something few could imagine.

Sisters Sarah Hittmeier and Crystal Wingate gave birth to baby boys, just minutes apart, and ahead of their due dates, Tuesday at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital.

However, the coincidences surrounding the births of these two bundles of joy don't end with their birthdays.

Sarah and Crystal found out they were both pregnant on the same day. They went to doctor's appointments together. They went into labor at the same time - which was ahead of both of their due dates.

The sisters live three doors down from each other in Dover and say they're piratically inseparable. .

The two were texting each other on the way to the hospital about having contractions and, sure enough, they were admitted at the same time.

Sarah and Crystal - in hospital rooms right next door - delivered their babies 13 minutes apart.

Sarah's baby beat his cousin to the finish line. Baby Liam was born at 8:47 p.m.

Crystal, who said she knew Sarah delivered first after hearing baby Liam's cries, delivered her son, Wyatt at 9 o'clock.

It's a story they said they can't wait to tell to their boys, who are sure to be the best of friends. The moms, and their little boys, are healthy and very happy.
