Harry Connick, Jr.'s extensive resume is about to get a little longer. The jazz musician, actor and reality show judge is now adding talk show host to the list. His new gig starts in the fall and Austin fans got a chance to check him out when he performed at the Moody Theater at ACL Live on April 28.

Connick, Jr.'s new daytime show is called "Harry" and it will be filmed in front of a live studio audience. It's expected to draw from his wide range of talents which include music, film, television and Broadway.

"All of the things I'm going to be doing I do anyway. I love talking to people, entertaining people, playing the piano, singing, doing man on the streets," Connick, Jr. says. "This is stuff that I've done for a long time anyway, we're just excited to get started."

The Emmy and Grammy Award winner though may be best known to many as a former judge and mentor on "American Idol".

"Harry" starts September 12 and will be aired on FOX 7.

Connick, Jr. is currently on a 26 city tour which will wrap up in June.
