Texas Parks and Wildlife is also helping and assisting with the recovery efforts.

It all began on May 25 when ATCEMS says that multiple rescue assets responded to a water rescue around 8 p.m. in the 1000 block of Falwell Lane.

STAR Flight was dispatched to assist in looking for the pair alongside four rescue swimmers and Travis County Fire Rescue and Austin Fire Department boats in the water. After 40 minutes, the rescue turned into a recovery effort, according to ATCEMS.

The two adults never resurfaced. The scene has been turned over the Travis County Sheriff's Office which will be handling the investigation of the incident.
