Police are investigating a robbery, homicide in San Marcos

Police are investigating a suspicious death at an apartment complex in San Marcos. The investigation points to this being a robbery that led to a homicide, according to a press release. 

20-year-old Aaron "Jack" Jackson Peterman died as a result of a gunshot wound.

He was a freshman at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.

According to the San Marcos Police Department, officers were dispatched to assist first responders with San Marcos Hays County EMS at the Park North Condos in the 1600 block of Aquarena Springs Drive shortly before 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13. A family member had found Peterman deceased at his apartment with a single gunshot wound.

Justice of the Peace Scott Cary pronounced Peterman deceased at the scene.

He was transported to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
