Aerospace tech company's space vehicle delivers cargo anywhere on Earth in under an hour

Los Angeles based aerospace and defense technology company Inversion has unveiled a new space-based delivery vehicle, Arc, that the company says can deliver cargo anywhere on Earth in under an hour.

Turning space into a high-speed transportation network

What they're saying:

Inversion says their space-based delivery vehicles are a game changer when it comes to logistics.

The Arc vehicle features a versatile payload bay designed to accommodate a wide range of cargo. Their plans call for thousands of Arc spacecraft forming a logistics network in low earth orbit.

"With massive cross-range to cover great distances during reentry, and high maneuverability throughout every phase of flight, Arc delivers a transportation capability that has never existed before," said Justin Fiaschetti, Co-Founder and CEO of Inversion.

When called down on demand, Arc spacecraft autonomously descend from orbit, maneuver through hypersonic reentry, and touch down safely under parachutes.

Inversion says space-based delivery vehicles will be used in defense sector

What we know:

Fiaschetti says Inversions’ space-based delivery vehicles will initially be used in the defense sector, establishing a new global logistics domain with unprecedented speed, reach, and resiliency for national security.

"With massive cross-range to cover great distances during reentry, and high maneuverability throughout every phase of flight, Arc delivers a transportation capability that has never existed before," said Fiaschetti. "We see a future where thousands of Arc spacecraft form a logistics network that provides transformative reach, resilience, and deterrence for the United States and its allies."

Space based vehicles offer potential for speedy global logistics network

What's next:

Inversion says it sees space as a new global logistics network that expands access to every corner of Earth, creating a logistics network in space that connects communities and economies with unprecedented speed and reach.

"History shows that every breakthrough in logistics — from railroads to aviation — has unlocked new industries and reshaped economies at scales few could have imagined at the start," said Fiaschetti. "Arc represents the next leap, creating a logistics network in space that will make Earth radically more accessible."
