APD Bomb Squad deactivates suspicious package in Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Police Department and Austin Police Department Bomb Squad responded to a suspicious package at a storage facility.
Police officers responded to reports of a suspicious package inside a storage unit at the Life Storage on North AW Grimes Boulevard around 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, according to the Round Rock Police Department. RRPD called the Bomb Squad with the Austin Police Department for assistance.
Members of the Austin Police Bomb Squad responded and rendered the device inactive.
There is no threat to the public, according to the Round Rock Police Department.
The investigation is ongoing.
