APD responding to attempted suicide call find injured infant

Austin police discover an injured infant when responding to an attempted suicide call. The two-month-old was taken to Dell Children's Hospital.

The call came in from an apartment complex north of Onion Creek Parkway at 11 p.m. on May 31.

Austin-Travis County EMS confirms the infant had serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

Police are not releasing information about the original subject of the suicide call. They will only say the situation is being investigated as an injury to a child.

CPS is involved. A spokesperson says there is no case history with the family.
