Austin Police said a suspect that triggered a SWAT response Saturday morning surrendered without incident.

Police responded to an apartment complex in the 13600 block of Rutledge Spur after receiving a call that a woman was being held against her will and being threatened with a knife around 7 a.m.

Austin Police spokesperson David Lewis said responding officers located a woman yelling in the hallway of the apartment complex, who was later identified as the victim.

Lewis said officers believed the suspect had committed aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, interference with a 911 call and unlawful restraint against the victim.

That's when Lewis said the SWAT team was called in and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.

What we don't know:

Austin police did not provide the suspect's identity.

Lewis said the suspect and victim were related, but did not provide specifics.
