Austin police provides update on SWAT situation on East Howard Lane

Three suspects were taken into custody, according to police. The warrants were reportedly related to a large robbery series.

The Austin Police Department says the shelter in place order for the 1500 block of East Howard Lane in North Austin has been lifted. 

Residents had been asked to avoid the area. 

According to police, officers were executing warrants at two separate apartments at The Bridge at Harris Ridge, an apartment complex in the area. The warrants were reportedly related to a large robbery series.

SWAT and negotiators were there to assist as well. 

Three suspects were taken into custody, according to police. 

No one was injured in this incident.
