Two lanes of Guadalupe Street will be closed between Christmas and New Year's. The lane closures will begin at 7 a.m. on Sunday, December 27 and continue through Thursday, December 31.
The two inner lanes of Guadalupe Street will be closed between 14th Street and 10th Street. The two outer lanes will remain open.
Crews are installing a segment of the Capitol Complex Reclaimed Water Main and will be working day and night shifts during the time of the closure.
In November, construction of 10,500 linear feet of reclaimed water main began and will bring reclaimed water to downtown Austin. Reclaimed water conserves the drinking water supply and can be used for a variety of non-potable uses such as irrigation and cooling towers.
Construction is scheduled to be complete in 2017.
