Barton Creek Greenbelt & Barton Creek closed due to weather

AUSTIN, Texas (FOX 7 Austin) - The City of Austin says the Barton Creek Greenbelt and Barton Creek have been closed due to the heavy rains and high winds last night.

Officials say the Barton Creek Greenbelt is closed today (12/27) due to water, debris and erosion on the trail.

Barton Creek is closed until further notice due to rapidly moving water.

Officials ask people to obey signage and to not go on closed trails. They ask the public to not use the greenbelt or creek until they've determined it's safe.

Barton Creek Pool is also closed today (12/27) for its weekly cleaning day and a determination of the condition of the pool will be made later today on if it will reopen.
