HAYS COUNTY, Texas - A boil water notice has been rescinded for some Hays County residents.
The backstory:
According to the Texas Water Utilities, a boil water notice was issued on August 25 for customers in the Plum Creek water system in east Hays County.
A main break caused a service outage to customers in these neighborhoods: Rolling Hills, Windy Hills, Green Pastures, Branch View, Park South, and Dove Hills.
The boil water notice was rescinded on August 26.
Texas Water Utilities says it has taken the "necessary corrective actions" to restore water quality for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling before use.
