Child struck, killed by vehicle in Round Rock

ROUND ROCK, Texas - A three-year-old child was struck and killed by a vehicle in Round Rock Sunday afternoon.

Round Rock police officers were called to Old Settlers Park in Northeast Round Rock for a reported auto-pedestrian crash around 1:29 p.m.

Round Rock police said responding personnel found a vehicle had struck a three-year-old child near the soccer fields at the park. An off-duty firefighter and Austin police officer assisted until EMS arrived. 

The child, from Round Rock, was pronounced dead around 1:51 p.m. Round Rock police say the driver stayed on scene and the incident is under investigation.
