The Austin Police Department says all lanes reopened just before 1:45 p.m.
Two people were killed after a crash involving two vehicles and a large truck on I-35 southbound near Cesar Chavez.
There had been major delays in the area as lanes near southbound I-35 at 6th Street had been closed due to the crash with traffic detouring to the frontage road at exit 234b.
Austin-Travis County EMS says two other people were taken to the hospital, one with minor injuries.
ATCEMS had reported that the driver of the truck was trapped inside the vehicle.
