AUSTIN, Texas - The Travis County Sheriff's Office is investigating two deaths in East Austin.
The backstory:
According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, on July 23, around 2:03 a.m., deputies responded to a check welfare call in the 8100 block of Dalmatian Lane. A relative reported that two people had been shot inside a home.
When deputies arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds. A man in his 20s was dead when they arrived, and a teen girl still had a faint pulse. She later died from her injuries.
The man was a TCSO corrections officer.
The sheriff's office said the two were related.
Deputies are investigating and said this was an isolated incident.
