Republican Pete Flores upset Democrat Pete Gellego by winning the District 19 state senate seat.
It is a seat that has been blue for nearly 140 years. The win also pushes the Republicans to an even larger majority in the legislature. Joining us in the FOX 7 Austin studio to discuss this further is Travis County GOP Chairman Matt Mackowiak and Ed Espinoza from Progress Texas.
