Fire breaks out at Downtown Austin high-rise apartment building

The Austin Fire Department responded to a fire at a high-rise apartment building overnight in downtown Austin.

The fire broke out shortly before 11 p.m. Dec. 3 on Trinity Street near Cesar Chavez.

Crews were able to contain the flames, but one resident was evaluated by ATCEMS. Crews then worked on salvage and smoke removal.

There is currently no word on what caused the fire.
