The victim of a deadly shooting at a north Austin senior living community has been identified as 71-year-old Curtis Caldwell.
AUSTIN, Texas - Austin police are investigating a deadly shooting in a senior living community in North Austin.
Police said on Oct. 6, around 3:34 p.m., officers responded to the 10100 block of Middle Fiskville Road after receiving multiple calls about a man being shot.
When officers arrived, they found 71-year-old Curtis Caldwell suffering from gunshot wounds.
Austin-Travis County EMS arrived on the scene and took Caldwell to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
During the investigation, detectives discovered Caldwell attacked a man he knew, and that man shot him.
No charges have been filed at this time.
