Jaguar Land Rover is recalling 2,278 electric SUVs connected to a possible fire hazard.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration officials said that a high voltage battery inside the vehicles may overheat, boosting the chances of a fire.
Which Jaguar SUVs are being recalled?
Why you should care:
This latest recall affects Jaguar I-Pace model vehicles built between 2020–2021. According to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recall notice, owners of the SUVs are urged to park outside and away from buildings, charge outside, and limit their charge to a maximum of 90% until the recall repair is complete.
If I have one of the recalled SUVs, where can I get it repaired?
What you can do:
Owners can take their SUVs to their local dealership for an initial repair of the battery software, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update to limit the state of charge to 90%, the NHTSA explained.

A final remedy for the SUVs is under development, and repairs will be performed for free. Moreover, interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk will be mailed on April 3, with additional letters sent once a final remedy is available.
