Leander Police are telling folks to stop the "California Roll" at traffic stops

In Leander, Horizon Park is one of many neighborhoods that has more traffic.

It’s perfect for shortcuts to avoid traffic on the major streets.

But it’s also a perfect place to correctly come to a full stop. 

Leander Police said on their Facebook page this week, “We don’t roll like California! Ensure you are stopping for stop signs! We are out.” They also say, “The average traffic stop takes between 7-10 minutes.  It takes 3-5 seconds to stop completely at the stop sign. You get to choose.” 

It’s one part of many traffic initiatives the department has going on and they promoted it this week on their social media.
