AFD responds to mattress fire in North Austin

AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Fire Department says its crews responded to a mattress fire in North Austin Sunday.

The fire happened on the balcony of a vacant apartment complex in the 5400 block of William Holland Avenue, just off Burnet Road.

Crews extinguished the fire and no injuries were reported, says AFD.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
