Paltauf was 18-years-old when she was last seen by her boyfriend at a Budget Inn on Rundburg Lane and IH 35 in July of 2006. Her boyfriend told police the two got into an argument and she stormed off.

She was never seen or heard from again.

Every year on the anniversary of her disappearance her family goes back to the area she was last seen and puts up fliers. Rosalynn Schultz, Paltauf’s sister said this year the family has created a GoFundMe account to help cover the costs.

"Never in my life did I think we had to buy enough fliers to last 12 years,” Schultz said. “At the end of the day no one else is going to advocate for her and I want to bring her home. She deserves to be home with us and we deserve to know what happen.”

The Paltauf family hopes to raise $1,500 to cover fliers, stickers a banner and an appreciation BBQ when they continue their search efforts July 7th.
