Nissan is recalling several of its vehicles over concerns about their fuel pumps, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced earlier this month.

Dig deeper:

According to the administration, a blown fuel pump fuse can cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.

The recall affects more than 173,000 units.

The recall involves certain 2013-2021 NV200 Van, 2014-2017, 2019 NV200 Taxi, and 2015-2018 Chevrolet City Express vehicles.

The car company said the Fuel Tank Temperature (FTT) sensor harness may have been improperly routed, potentially damaging the wires and short-circuiting the fuel pump fuse.

What you can do:

Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, reroute the Fuel Tank Temperature (FTT) sensor harness or replace the fuel pump assembly at no cost to owners.

Owners can reach Nissan customer service at 800-647-7261, referencing recall number PMA56. Affected Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) became searchable on NHTSA.gov as of October 10, 2025.

What's next:

Nissan plans to mail notification letters starting December 3, 2025.
