Parts of Texas, Oklahoma under high risk for tornadoes, severe weather

Dangerous weather conditions have formed and are lingering over Texas and Oklahoma.

On Monday, areas of the two states were under a high risk for tornadoes.

Twisters were spotted in Paducah, Texas and Butler, Oklahoma. Weather authorities are not taking this lightly and they urge everyone to listen to the warnings. Meteorologists say this kind of high risk alert is rare.

“Two years ago was the last time a "high risk area" was issued for any part of the country,” said Joe Arellano, meteorologist with the National Weather Service Austin/San Antonio. "It's a very rare and dangerous situation people are in right now."

In addition to tornadoes, flooding and hail are also concerns.
