A SWAT standoff in North Austin came to a peaceful end. Police said a sexual assault suspect had barricaded himself inside of an apartment near Lamar and Rundberg
AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department is questioning half a dozen people after a sexual assault call resulted in a SWAT situation in North Austin.
Police say that around midnight, a woman, naked from the waist down, told apartment security that she was sexually assaulted at gunpoint near Lamar and Rundberg.
APD had information on a suspect's vehicle, name and an apartment unit number.

SWAT situation in North Austin
The Austin Police Department is investigating after an aggravated sexual assault call resulted in a SWAT situation.
Officers arrived, and then it turned into a barricaded subject situation.
After a few hours of negotiations, all the people inside the apartment came out peacefully.
Police believe the suspect is one of the six people that were inside the apartment.
