False alarm at Tesla: What we know so far

The Travis County Sheriff's Office is determining what led to the call. A text message to workers indicated that there was an "active attacker" at 4:59 a.m.

There was a large law enforcement presence at the Tesla Gigafactory Friday morning after a 911 call reporting an active shooter, according to the Travis County Sheriff's Office.

Tesla active shooter report ‘unsubstantiated,’ TCSO says

The Travis County Sheriff's Office said they got a 911 call Friday morning reporting an active shooter at the Tesla Gigafactory in Southeast Austin but, so far, they have not found any evidence of a shooter.

TCSO says there were no gunshots and all buildings were checked. Workers were evacuated but have since returned after the all clear has been given. 

Officials say so far they have not found anything out of the ordinary or anything to substantiate evidence of a shooter.

WATCH: Police respond to report of active shooter

FOX 7 viewer Jason Bell captured video of the law enforcement response to a report of an 'active shooter' at the Tesla Gigafactory in Southeast Austin. Officials say the report was 'unsubstantiated.'

Tesla workers received a text alert just before 5 a.m. saying there was an "active attacker around column 35Z in GFTX." The text told workers to "take cover and stand by for further details."

Just before 6 a.m., workers got a message saying, "The ALL CLEAR has been given. Law Enforcement officials have conducted a thorough sweep of the area and have determined the situation is safe."

The message says, "You may return to your work areas."
