20th Century Studios released a trailer teaser for the highly-anticipated sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2.
The film is scheduled for theatrical release in May 2026.
Dig deeper:
Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci reprise their iconic roles as Miranda Priestly, Andy Sachs, Emily Charlton, and Nigel Kipling. The sequel revisits the glitzy world of New York City’s fashion elite and the power corridors of Runway magazine, where the story of ambition, loyalty, and style first captured global attention in 2006.
The backstory:
Over the summer, Hathaway and Streep were spotted filming on the streets of New York City.
The Devil Wears Prada first hit the screens in 2006 as a comedy-drama film directed by David Frankel, based on Lauren Weisberger’s novel of the same name.

The story follows Andy Sachs (Hathaway), a recent journalism graduate who lands a job as an assistant to Miranda Priestly (Streep), the powerful and fearsome editor-in-chief of Runway, a top fashion magazine. Although Andy is intelligent and ambitious, she knows little about fashion and initially struggles in the cutthroat world of high style.
It's widely believed that Streep's character is based on Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
