Three-year-old tells babysitters she is being sexually assaulted

A three-year-old girl told her babysitters she was being sexually assaulted by "Sweets," a man who was living in the same household as the victim and her mother. The babysitters went to Child Protective Services and made a report. 

According to the Austin Police Department, the victim told one of her babysitters that '"Sweets" was touching her down there' in September 2019. The victim also told another babysitter in December 2019 that "Sweets" put his privates on her privates, and tried to feed her his privates. 

Detectives with the Austin Police Department were able to identify "Sweets" as 34-year-old Steven P. Balthaser. 

Balthaser has been arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony.
