A tornado touched down in Bryan Thursday afternoon, destroying three homes and damaging around 60 more.
So far, no injuries have been reported, but authorities are still searching through the hardest hit areas.
Crews from across Central Texas responded to help after the storm, including six Austin firefighters.
The tornado touched down around 1 p.m. Thursday near the Wheeler Ridge subdivision near Boonville Road and FM 1179.
The tornado was caught on camera by Max McMann, a student at Bryan High School.
Affected areas include the Green Valley neighborhood, Marimont community and homes along FM 1179 at Boonville Road.
Schools in the area were checked and cleared by authorities.
Emergency personnel on scene are asking people to avoid the area as many roads are blocked off.
After the tornado passed through, rain caused other problems for drivers in Bryan.
State Highway 6 and Highway 21 were among major roads that experienced significant flooding.
Several people had to be rescued from water-covered streets.
Bryan residents said after the storm passed, traffic lights were out, roads were blocked, many people couldn't get home and everything seemed very chaotic.
“I have never seen anything like this. Of my two years staying here, this has easily been one of the craziest days I have ever seen,” said Kevin Ford who lives in Bryan.
There is a shelter set up at Central Baptist Church for anyone who needs a place to stay. 15 people have already checked into the shelter for the night. The Red Cross is on scene helping those displaced by the storm.
