UT Austin postpones graduation commencement amid coronavirus outbreak

UT Austin has announced that May's graduation commencement has been officially postponed. 

In a video chat between UT Austin President Greg Fenves and Commencement Speaker Brene Brown, the announcement was made that graduation commencements scheduled for May 21 - 23 have been officially postponed.

According to the school, a virtual commencement will be held in its place with more details to come. 

The new plan will also include celebrating students on campus later in the year as well for the full array of graduation and commenced ceremonies.

The school also released several updates and resources for students including a link to help support emergency funding for UT students facing difficulties during the outbreak.
